Investors in the nineties who bought shares in pioneering Internet companies like Yahoo! became very wealthy when the Internet blew up. Now, venture capitalists are predicting that Cleantech – the term used to describe products or services that improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste or pollution – is the next millionaire-making megatrend on the horizon; solar energy in particular.
One well-respected venture capitalist says it could be, “Bigger than the Internet by an order of magnitude”, meaning bigger by a multiple of 10. And he’s not the only one who’s taking notice.
Motley Fool Rule Breakers has been doing plenty of research on cleantech and explains why solar energy will be the next big thing for investors and gives their recommendations for solar stocks to buy.
