E-commerce for medical marijuana

California’s licensed providers of medical marijuana can now operate their trade more like a business with the help of PlainView Systems, a “compassionate care marketplace” and business management tool for selling pot.
Entrepreneur John Lee is the mastermind behind PlainView Systems, something of a Quickbooks meets Amazon.com for weed, where the tenets of e-commerce are applied to the still emerging industry. Using PlainView, sellers can liaise with patients, keep their records in order, generate invoices, sales reports and tax paperwork, among other functions.
Ultimately, PlainView Systems enables members to build on-going relationships with patients, regulators and other stakeholders in a totally compliant and secure environment within the bounds of California’s increasingly liberalised medical marijuana laws.
