How to Handle Office Romance
People fall in love. Occasionally they fall in love with a colleague or superior at work. And when they fall in love at work it sometimes affects their performance on the job. Employers don’t like that; which is why most discourage office liaisons.
While they can’t be prevented, office romances are to be managed just like any other curve ball that hits a business owner. According to attorney Mark Kluger, in an interview with Karen E. Klein of Business Week, there’s no point in installing a “no fraternizing” rule, since human emotion can hardly be curtailed. That will only cause the parties involved to sneak around and be deceitful.
Kluger suggests the most effective methods for handling office romance amongst employees.
