How to make a difficult sale

The recession gets blamed for everything. Poor sales? Blame the recession. Overheads high? Blame the recession. If you’ve got indigestion blame the recession, because it’s the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong.

In the case of sales, author Dave Lakhani in his latest book “How to Sell When Nobody’s Buying” asserts that low sales is not as a result of the slow economy, it’s because of poor sales tactics! If you did not make your sales quota this month, the real reason for the failure is you. Harsh huh?

Lakhani goes on to suggest tools and strategies to improve sales when buyers just aren’t biting. Pierre DeBois of Small Business Trends reviews Lakhani’s book and lists some of his resolutions to the age-old business question: “how does a company gain more sales?”
