Most people go to YouTube to get laughs, not to access a government video. But amidst the babies dancing to “Single Ladies”, cutesy animal shots and music videos, there are some useful tax tips courtesy of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The IRS channel on YouTube currently has close to 75 videos that advise people on changes in the tax law, including new credits and deductions that they might find relevant. With over 230,000 views since the channel launched in August, the IRS videos won’t compete with Ukele boy or other such Youtube phenomena, but those who view them will find the information presented very useful.
