Mom-trepreneurs (mothers who are also entrepreneurs) often face a great challenge in balancing entrepreneurship and motherhood, as both parenting and running a business are full-time jobs. It would seem there are just not enough hours in the day to do both effectively. Still some manage to strike that balance by finding a connection between business and motherhood where one complements the other.

See, “running a business is not entirely different from running a family”, according to Lisa Druxman of Entrepreneur.com, who so happens to be a thriving mom-trepreneur. Experience as a mother can translate to keen business acumen so moms should not believe that they can’t build a business just because they are parents, she asserts.

Druxman shares tips from a great book by Julie Lenzer Kirk called “The ParentPreneur Edge“, on ways that parenting can help mothers be a better business person.
