Pancakes in a can nets $15 million

Convenience sells. Period. Just ask former restaurateur Sean O’Connor who in 2005 thought up the genius idea to put pancake mix in a pressurized can. Add a point-and-shoot nozzle, much like canned whipped cream and voila – a quick and easy breakfast.
Batter Blaster is now carried by over 13,000 outlets worldwide; including Costco and Whole Foods stores; and sales generated $15 million in revenues in 2008, with expected revenues of over $19.5 million in 2009. So while we were crying over the recession, O’Connor was busy building an empire out of flour, eggs and the aerosol can.
Now to get bacon in a can…
