Teens don’t use Twitter

If you want to hide something from a teen, put it on Twitter! They just don’t love tweeting like the twenty-somethings do, and are unlikely to use the micro-blogging service. You’d have better luck getting their attention on Facebook.

This was revealed in the results of a new survey from the Pew Research Center under their Internet & American Life Project. According to the survey, “everybody goes online, everybody has a cell phone, and kids hate blogging and Twitter”. In fact, a measly 8% of teens ages 12 to 17 say they tweet compared to one-third of adults ages 18 to 29.
