However great your product or service, it won’t make you any money unless people know about it. Marketing is the avenue by which you can raise awareness about your business and its offerings but like any undertaking, there’s the right way to do it, and many wrong ways.
Actually, there are many right ways to effectively market your products such that potential customers feel compelled to buy and use them, but there are some fatal errors, if executed, could kill your chances of success.
The first no-no of marketing as described by the Savvy Entrepreneur is “don’t be too intrusive”. You don’t want to turn off any potential customers by bombarding them with offers, to the point where they feel overwhelmed. No one wants to feel forced into making a decision on how to spend their money.
