Take the simple average of the salaries of your five closest friends. That will be your earnings each year, according to Internet entrepreneur Neil Patel. Are you comfortable with that figure? If no, you might want to consider making more enterprising friends! No one’s suggesting that you totally ditch your old (broke) friends, but according to Patel’s experiences, he has learnt more and earned more just by making friends with more ambitious people.
His argument seems quite shallow on the surface, but if you really think about it, it makes perfect sense! Birds of a feather flock together right, so why wouldn’t you hang out with the more prosperous flock if prosperity is your goal?
Patel describes how he was able to improve his earnings just by hanging out with successful people.
