Wanted: Franchisee for poop-scooping business

The Chicago operation of Pet Butler, the poop-scooping empire with 126 franchises nationwide, is looking for a new owner. Described as the fastest growing operation within the franchise, the Chicago outfit was previously owned by a couple who have since demitted the sh***y business. Poop-scooping duties in that area are currently being handled by the Pet Butler head honchos until the “right person” buys in.
Make no mistake, poop-scooping is serious business! Households will pay $10 to $15 per week to have someone else clean up their pets’ excrement, and with hundreds, maybe thousands, of Chicago homes in need of the service, your customer base is likely to be vast.
Julie Wernau of the Chicago Tribune gives more details on the requirements of the job.
